About
In honor of Arcane season 2, this will be a collection of art and fiction meant to celebrate Caitlyn and Vi. This is not an official zine but is instead a fan made project meant to cultivate a safe community for everyone involved. This has no affiliation with Riot Games, Fortiche, or Arcane.
Pre Order
Pre orders ended on April 15th, 2025. Stay tuned! There will be a leftover sale on a first-come, first-serve basis once all pre-orders have shipped.
SHIPPING UPDATES
Packing and shipping are in progress! Shipping began early in August and is tentatively projected to finish at the end of September. Because we have a one-woman packing team tackling this arduous process (thank you, Mod Luna!), the end of September is NOT a hard deadline.

We communicate with such a large number of people that we are exceeding Gmail's allowed limits of 500 emails/recipients per day. We are therefore sending out one wave of emails per day so we can stay in contact with you.*A note about our process at Blood and Water Zine
When ordering traditionally, the seller has already created the stock and simply has to mail it out (sometimes with a few customizations, but most often not). In the case of a business like Amazon, your item is already sitting in their warehouse ready to be loaded into a truck and sent to you, whereas a small business usually takes a very limited number of orders to accommodate for the fact that they can only hold so much stock at once. This is because their primary goal is delivering products to customers.
Our primary goal at Blood and Water Zine is a little different; we wanted to give the CaitVi fandom an opportunity to raise as much money as we physically can for our causes. Because shipping is still ongoing (and it costs money to buy labels and mail packages), we can't yet calculate how much money has been raised. Let's just say for now that we are thrilled by our community's enormous spirit of giving -- thrilled, and a little overwhelmed.
Hand-organizing, packing, and shipping orders on this scale is a huge task for anyone. That being said, we are up for the job! Rest assured that your order will receive a ton of love as Luna packs it and sends it on its journey home.

What is a zine?
A zine is a self-published magazine; an anthology or collection of art and writing in a booklet/ digital format
_Will the zine have physical copies or digital copies?
This zine will have both physical and digital copies available for preorder. See our Shipping Updates and Pre Order pages for more information.
_What is a pre-order?
Pre-order means you are purchasing a good before its manufacture has been ordered by the seller you are purchasing from. The seller (in this case, Blood and Water Fanzine), uses the number of people who pre-ordered to figure out how many copies to purchase from our third-party manufacturer (ie the external company who prints the fanzine based on the digital manuscript our hardworking contributors created). This means a lead time of several months, particularly in the case of a charity fanzine, can often be expected.
_I missed the pre-order! Can I still purchase the zine?
We plan to have a leftover sale on a first-come, first-serve basis once we have shipped out all pre-orders.
_Where is my digital order?
For digital-only bundles, your order will be sent out once all the physical bundles have shipped. Our lovely Luna (Editor-In-Chief) is working as a one-woman crew to pack and ship SEVEN HUNDRED bundles. The mod team is doing our best to support her as she provides our incredibly large volume of orders. We estimate that all orders will be shipped by mid-September, but this is a slow process so we cannot guarantee the exact date the last order will ship. _Where is my physical order?
If you haven’t received a tracking number/shipping details for your physical order yet, hold tight! _I want a refund.
Because we are actively working to send out bundles, we are not granting refunds for orders which have not shipped at this time. The fanzine was put up for pre-order, which means your order information was used as the basis of how many fanzines we should purchase from our third-party manufacturer. Unfortunately, a long wait time for delivery is the nature of pre-orders, particularly when pre-ordering something from an informal collective of hobby creators. We are a group of people fundraising for charity, not a business or corporation! _My address has changed!
The surest way to ensure your bundle makes it to you is to set up mail forwarding. Keep in mind that due to timezones and the ongoing shipping process, address changes may not be possible at this time. If you still have a concern, please reach out to us ASAP.
_Where are the shipping updates?
The most up-to-date information is available on our Shipping Updates page. You should have received multiple shipping updates to your email inbox during this time, but it is possible the email address you provided in your order details bounced back. Please check your spam/junk folder to be sure. Here is what you may have missed: There were unfortunate manufacturer delays in the process of printing the fanzines and shipping them to Luna, our intrepid Editor-In-Chief Luna is singlehandedly distributing 700 physical bundles. As you can imagine, this is a long and painstaking process. Shipping began early in August, and is projected to take until mid-September (NOT a hard deadline). Once the last physical bundle has shipped, the digital bundles will be released.
_How do I apply?
Applications are closed since the fanzine is now complete! We are now in the shipping phase.
_How will artists and writers be incorporated?
After our contributors are selected, a writer will be paired with an artist after submitting individual questionnaires so we can pair creators who are compatible with one another. After being paired, the author and artists will work together to come up with a prompt that they will work on together as a team after approval from editorial staff.
_Will this include NSFW content?
No, this zine is a SFW project but contributors are required to be 16+
_Where will profits for the zine go?
This is a non-profit zine and the proceeds will go toward Gaza victims as well as to a refugee Gofundme for someone in our fandom community.

While I just graduated from law school in the US, I've managed magazines since I was in college and I'm so excited to be running a CaitVi zine! I have a BA in Writing & Rhetoric where I got my feet wet in a myriad of writing styles. And while I've loved creative writing my entire life, I didn't feel brave enough to embrace that until this fandom. I'm a lot of things, I work in forestry as a blue collar unicorn during the day using my Chemical Laboratory Technologist diploma, I spend the rest of my time being a mom to two kids and in between all that I write and try to help out where I can in my communities and with my friends. I'm just one person out here trying to make the world a better place in anyway I can, and being asked to help out on the zine was an honor to try and make a difference.
